If you played beta before the game was on Epic and have not played since, for PC please follow the on-screen instructions before choosing a scenario below. If you do not link your account correctly the first time you log in, your game progress and friends list will not be shared between platforms. Unlike other game launchers, Epic Games is missing a popular feature by not allowing users to set their status to “Appear Offline.” This is a very popular feature among gamers for various reasons, and finding workarounds that may disrupt gameplay can be frustrating. For some games, you may be able to continue playing but may lose access to certain features while offline. This could also prevent the game from functioning correctly. Not only will Epic Games lose the ability to sync to the internet, but so will any of your other applications. Remember that this requires you to take your computer offline.

You will be taken to your offline library after you log in. Restart the computer and open Epic Games.The following steps are specific to Fortnite but may give you an idea of where to look for the settings in other games. The viral game Fortnite will enable you to do this in their game. You can change your settings in the game rather than on Epic Games.
Some games will allow you to appear offline while playing their game. You can play your downloaded games, but you will not be able to access any games that require a sign-in for online functions. This will immediately sign out of Epic Games. Click on the profile icon at the bottom left-hand corner of the screen.This may not be an issue for some games, but many multiplayer games may not be able to function. You won’t be able to save any progress to Epic Games until you sign back in. You can still access your games if you play without being signed in. If you need those additional features, you must play online with your status set to “Away.” Sign Out of the Launcher However, remember that many games will not have all features when played offline. You can play your games offline, and they will sync when you reconnect to the internet. You will be asked to log in and then you’ll be taken to your offline library. Disconnect your PC from the internet and then close the Epic Games app.Go to the app’s settings and toggle the switch next to “Enable Offline Mode Browsing.”.Download the Epic Games desktop application and log in.
